Got back from Jamaica Thursday night and decided I needed to get on the G and find some fish. Friday started in backwaters and caught a nice keeper and one short on a dinger, then decided to hit the main river bank. Current started pulling good after lunch and the bite was on. I caught 7 more keepers in about a mile stretch of the grass ranging from 2.5-4.5lbs. I was flipping a 3/4oz florida rig with various plastics. Stopped back in the back water on my way back and caught one more good 3+lber. Went back yesterday and tried some more main river stuff and finally got into a pod of keepers, I caught 4 keepers and one that may have measured in about a 100 yard stretch of grass, largest was just under 5lbs. I noticed that the fish are bunched up and all about the same size. I will leave it at that, considering we have a little competition this comming weekend. I think I spotted flip1up near the bridge earlier yesterday, in fact I watched him land one, if that was him in the red G3. I am looking forward to seeing all of you guys Saturday morning, I am expecting someone to bring in a 20+ sack!

Welcome back, bud. Glad to see you back on here, and fishing again. I hope that the honeymoon was great for you and your new wife. How does it feel to be a hubby? How long is the honey-do list?

Glad to hear that you caught some fish.

Take care,

Yep, that was me Churly. I caught 3 there, 2 keepers, on a crankbait. Got 1 keeper on a Horny Toad, 1 keeper on a Senko, and 1 keeper on a Rat in the mats. 5 keepers, only about 12 pounds. Not many small fish either, total fish caught only about 9-10 I recon. I never did see any current and the wind was pretty calm, just the conditions I dont like. I need the current for the jig bite.

NWG, the list is short so far, but you know how that goes. Flip, I noticed that the current picked up later in the day, both days. It was especially strong friday, in fact I was in the aluminum boat and it was tough to keep from moving along too fast.
