My daughter is fishing the Choo Choo BFL as a co Angler next week. To help her with expenses I am going down to split a hotel bill and buy a few meals for her... Just doing that dad stuff I guess. Not sure why she choose this tournament as it is not a colligate tournament and she is on the Ole Miss fishing team....

Anyway since I am going down I will take the boat :)... I want to go to the weigh in but I don't want to get caught up in the mess of all the tournament anglers launching and loading.

They are out of goose pond... is there another ramp reasonably close I could launch from or does Goose Pond have enough room that it doesn't matter? In the past when I have went to her tournaments I didn't launch until the entire field was gone then I made sure I was loaded up long before they came back for the weigh in. I guess I could do that again if there isn't a nearby ramp.

I have only fished Guntersville with a guide... don't know the lake very well.

Mink creek ramp would be where I put in. About a 5 minute run to Goose pond.

Just make sure you pay attention to the channel markers and go out to the river and back into Goose pond. You can shortcut over but if you do not know the lake there is a shallow point you could hit.

Mink Creek is the closet to Goose Pond. I've put in there many times. As derek81 said, be careful where you run in the area going back to Goose Pond
