Guntersville tailrace report 5-22

First of all, thanks for the fishing trip SPOON...good to fish with you again, buddy!
Spoon and I fished the tailrace from 4 - 8 p.m. with live and artificial...the fishing was less than spectacular, but the company was great.

crawley bottom...a.ka. logperch...a.ka. "smallmouth candy" (for those who haven't seen one)

bag for the trip: a few drum, some juvey salts, a couple of whites, 1 spot, and some WORLD CLASS skipjack.

Are the Crawly Bottoms pretty thick below Gville right now?

You can catch about a dozen an hour with a dip net at the lower end of the wall, you could catch about two dozen an hour with a wall basket.
