I save those for bedding bass in 45 feet of water. A hot pink roostertail vertically jigged over the beds. Wow.

Pointer 78 - 1/21/2008 8:31 PM

I'll have all 4 tied on. On 4 different rods that is.

Pointer just wants to get hung up 4x as bad emoScratch . Gimme a blade in that slop all day. Ten minutes of "The Guntersville Slap" and I'm ready to kick my own ass for attempting to throw trebles in that crap... emoLaugh

Be careful ya'll, I think he is just trying to mislead us with the tournament coming up. I heard a rumor they were all caught on a spook!emoEvil Jmax

FS, I don't have a temp gauge on my boat (getting one), but the water temp was 46-48 when Flip went on THursday, and it only makes sense that it has dropped since then.

Catch 1, check out my post for more:http://www.chattanoogafishingforum.com/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=16158&posts=16

Polo: The other bait is a Xcalibur Xrap50 in Royal Shad color. I am a true believer in the action and rattle of the Xrap50 over any of the other rattlebaits. It really comes off of stumps very well.

Pointer: I have a couple of other favorite colors, especially a few that Bill Lewis makes, also... I wasn't quite in Mink Creek for those fish, but... close :)

Just to be technical Branden, those would be XR50's not Xraps. ;)

You nerd.. xraps, xr, who gives a *&*&??? :) :)

The bite was better on the royal shad, a.k.a. Troy Special

Hey man, I'm just lettin you know. I'm a big fan of the "royal red" xr50. I now own a couple of the new XR75's. Also picked up my special "springtiem special" spinnerbaits from Rob yesterday. Hopefully they will be deadly on Guntersville!

I love spinnerbaits in the spring time on Wheeler, but just can't put down the trap on Guntersville....and that might be a fault of mine.
