Took Neighbor Hal down on the river for a while late this afternoon. Let some shiners swim around while I chunked a smallie sweet beaver in green goby at the riprrap. It got kind of windy and raw while we were out. I put three skillet sized spots in the live well, lost 5 or 6 on the way to the boat. All the lost fish were on a 200 bandit. I caught a small spot that I tried to throw back but the wind caught it and it wound up on the bank. Got a couple of bites on the shiners but no hookups.
Neighbor Hal struck out! He claimed FA had jinxed my back seat! maybe so, maybe so! The back seat has not been so productive lately. Oh well, Grandson FishinDawg is coming Friday night to fish saturday. I think I'll give him the trolling motor and see If I can do an exorcism on that back seat.
Gave the skillet sized spots to a couple fishing from the pier. Put my leftover shiners in the live well, if they survive until saturday, they will get another chance!!
