Now don't anyone get me wrong, because I am a big fan of Hamiltons. However I stopped by on Friday evening because the "Open" light was illuminated. I would hardly call them open for business. There was only one small rack of merchandise loaded, and it appeared that their live bait tanks were running. However the rest of the place was still pretty much bare to the walls with the shelving yet to be assembled and little in the way of merchandise.
It has been significantly renovated, with much additional space, much brighter in appearance and looks like it will really be terrific when they complete the process. But unless they brought in a crew and worked all night, I would hardly call them open for business as usual, based on what I saw Friday night.
Again, not in any way intended as a slam, merely a clarification. I really like Hamiltons and look forward to their return.
