whats the best place arond here to go get one and what are the cost, been thinking about getting for a while now. just never really looked in to it much

My wife and I went to Sportsmans Gun Supply in Hixson, cost $75, the instructor was great. Carters on Hiway 58 is also a popular palce.

Doug Simpkins charges $60 if you pre-pay, $35 for CRC members at the Chattanooga Rifle Club on hunter Rd. http://www.gun-lessons.com/Firearms_Instruction_Unlimited/Welcome.html

This just the cost of the class which lasts 8 hrs, classroom and range
qualification. The state charges $115 for the permit and it lasts 4 years. Renewals are $50 for 4 years.

Fugates Firearms across from Bowater in Cleveland/Charlston is also good. It is/was $50.00. You do it on a Friday night. Usually from about 6pm til 11pm. They have a add daily in the newspaper, for their classes.

I went thru Shooters Depot. They did a good job. Their cost is $65.

You have to renew your permit every 3 years for 50 dollars

Did mine at Shooters for $65 with Mark Haskin, thought he did a good job with it... Also you have $115 application fee with the DMV.

Carter's right now is doing their class for $60. Kristi Manning taught the class, and did a good job of keeping it interesting. She also taught my wife's class, and was execptional with the women.
