I was using 40 cal winchester 165 grain FMJ. I was shooting a 15 round clip and on the 11th roung i pulled the trigger and nothing happened. I thought it was a misfire but I paused for about 3 seconds, then BANG! Scared the crap out of me! I've only had 1 misfire in my life and had never heard of a hang fire. I was told it is rare and is usually from cheap ammo. I though winchesters we a reputable company. I noticed some of the primers were a little bit of a different shade but it didn't raise an alert to me. I wonder with all the prices going up if the companies are going to cheaper primers? Has anyone else ever had this happen?

I have heard of it, but have never had it happen. Winchester is good ammo I have shot thousands of rounds with it not a single problem. But I guess like anything else that is mass produced you have a chance of getting a bad batch. I would also inspect the firing pin on your firearm.

Seems like there was a recall on some Winchester ammo, that I saw posted or in a magazine. Might check there web-site.

Its a new gun, so I don't thinks it's the pin, but I will call winchester and find out about the recall. Man that was scarey!
