Got the pleasure to wake up bright and early this morning and fish with my two favorite men in the world, my Dad and little Brother. There isn't much to report, other than what didn't work. We started about fishing some islands with deep water adjacent, where I have been catching some good fish, with Pop-R's. Saw lots of fish hitting, but never could get any bites. We then resorted to some sloughs and some backwater areas to try to find some shallow feeding fish. This didn't produce much, except for a few missed fish on topwater. We then headed down to one of my favorite bridges and jigged some grubs to just try to catch anything that would bite. Dad caught a nice yellow bass, and Dillon caught a MONSTER Largemouth, about 5 inches! :) :)

Basically I want to wish all of ya'll fathers out there a HAPPY Fathers Day! I have the greatest dad in the world, and I just wanted to share this picture with ya'll.

Its great to see you got to out in the time with your Dad. I just found out that one of our friends is spending thier day saying good bye to his Dad. He past away yesterday. Not exactly a Happy Fathers day but he says the memories will always be there.

My Dad and I havent always gotten along until this past year and tomarrow I have planned a trip to the Dam and hopefully put him on a few Cats. (he likes Catfishing;) ) Maybe I can create a few more memories for us....

Happy Fathers Day everyone!

Good report Brandon and it looks like he had fun anyway. Glad ya'll got to spend time together. As the post above describes. Be thankful. I miss getting to spend time with my dad. He is still here but isn't able to get out as much as he used to. Thanks for the post and the pics!
