I always think about today and the year 1981. I was fishing on that Thanksgiving with my dad, weak as he was from cancer. We caught a boat load of crappie, and I can still remember his hand diving into the bucket of fish, with a twinkle in his eye, telling me that he couldn't wait to eat them. 72 hours later he was dead. The reason I think of this time is because I WAS, and am, so Thankful for the time we had together, and that last, wonderful Thanksgiving that God gave us. If I can say anything today, it is don't take anything, or anyone, for granted. Savor the time God gives you on this earth. Love one another and SAY IT! Both of my parents are dead now but the last words they heard from me was "I Love You". I'm Thankful for that!

Happy Thanksgiving! May God continue to shed his blessings on this great country of ours. Let us take time today to reflect on what we have, the bounty before us. Let us also remember as we bow our heads in prayer over our wonderful dinners, that there are many that can't be with us today. They are standing watch in foreign lands so that we may live in safety. They are standing watch in the firehalls across America. They are standing watch in our hospitals, in patrol cars, healing the sick, tending to our peace. As I reflect on today, I know that God has truly blessed me, just as he has blessed my beloved America! I wish all of you a wonderful, happy day, filled with friends and family and the ones you love. That is, indeed, the greatest blessing of them all. Thank you God!!

O God, when I have food, help me to remember the hungry; when I have work, help me to remember the jobless; when I have a home, help me to remember those who have no home at all; when I am without pain, help me to remember those who suffer, and remembering, help me to destroy my complacency; bestir my compassion, and be concerned enough to help; by word and deed, those who cry out for what we take for granted. -Samuel F. Thanks FF for such heartfelt words. I sit here humbled by the thoughts of all that I personally have to be thankful for and the
thoughts of all that we, in America, have to be thankful for as well. Oh me, there is just so much -- God, family, friends and all
that comes from those. I pray each of you has a very Happy Thanksgiving!!
