They kicked off the Harrison Dog fights last night. It was nice evening but the fishing was tough! Our first 4 holes produced zero fish! Finally my partner scored on a keeper LM in skinny water, caught on a trap. I caught one dink in the same area we moved farther down river and made another stop. ZERO there. With thirty minutes left to fish my partner scored with a good fish on a texas rig. I followed a few minutes later with another good fish on a stand-up jig head with a large dark grub. We raced back to the weigh in and, to our surprise we got first with 8.70lbs. Even funnier was the fact our last two keepers both weighed 3.46lbs. One was short and fat, the other long and slack gutted. they paid through 5 places and big fish was 5.05lbs. water temps in the mid sixties. Water was high but falling and this morning it looked like they have risen the water since last night. It was a fun evening but we only caught 3 keepers. But it was the three we needed! Anyone looking for a fun little dogfight should come out and fish with us. 6:30-9:30, three fish tourney. There were 47 participants last night, about 30 boats. let 'em all go!

Way to go churly congrats on the win. How much does first payout in one of those? With 30 boats that should have been a nice little check for the two of you. At least a nuff to buy a tank of gas.emoLaugh Jmax

I do it for the fun, not the money! 1st place-$154, Big fish-$125. My buddy BILL will see most of it.

It is pronounced CHUR-LEE, like charly with a U, not curly. And my buddy Bill seems to visit everytime I get an extra dollar. I have a phone Bill, Credit card Bill, and the bad one-gas Bill-LOL!

My apologies for gettin' your name wrong! :(

And as far as the GAS bill goes ... you need to switch to electric!!! I haven't had a bill yet since Oct of 05 that was over $100.00 for a 1700 square foot house with 2 people and 2 dogs!!!

I'm lovin' it.

TT

I was refering to the gas bill associated with running a 200hp mariner at 70+mph on 20ft bullet all over the lake, but I know what you mean about the advantage of electric heat. $2.50/Gallon for gas is rediculous and if Iran keeps showing these vids of missle testing that price is going to go up. As soon as we start bombing them, which looks inevitable, that price is going to go through the roof, since 50%+ of the worlds supply of petroleum goes through their waters. But we can save that talk for a rainy day. in the mean time keep up the good posts!
