They kicked off the Harrison Dog fights last night. It was nice evening but the fishing was tough! Our first 4 holes produced zero fish! Finally my partner scored on a keeper LM in skinny water, caught on a trap. I caught one dink in the same area we moved farther down river and made another stop. ZERO there. With thirty minutes left to fish my partner scored with a good fish on a texas rig. I followed a few minutes later with another good fish on a stand-up jig head with a large dark grub. We raced back to the weigh in and, to our surprise we got first with 8.70lbs. Even funnier was the fact our last two keepers both weighed 3.46lbs. One was short and fat, the other long and slack gutted. they paid through 5 places and big fish was 5.05lbs. water temps in the mid sixties. Water was high but falling and this morning it looked like they have risen the water since last night. It was a fun evening but we only caught 3 keepers. But it was the three we needed! Anyone looking for a fun little dogfight should come out and fish with us. 6:30-9:30, three fish tourney. There were 47 participants last night, about 30 boats. let 'em all go!
