I rarely start these things, but a quote from the Associated Press a short time ago has me shaking my head in wonderment. Here it is:

.....Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., said the Republican repeal movement would "take away a child's right to get health insurance and instead give insurance companies the right to use asthma or diabetes as an excuse to take away that care."
"It would kick kids off their parents' health insurance," Reid said. "It would take away seniors' rights to a free wellness check.".....

This is one of the most powerful members of our government, and yet he has either amazing ignorance of our Constitution and laws - or for political reasons chooses to try to mislead the American public.

SHAME ON HIM!!!

The plain fact is that no one has the Constitutional RIGHT to health insurance or the RIGHT to a free wellness check! Insurance, be it car, boat, life, home, or health, is a business contract - not a RIGHT. If someone offers to insure something for a price, and someone else decides to pay that price, they can both enter into a legal agreement. If someone chooses to NOT sell you an insurance policy for whatever reason, then no contract is agreed upon. We do not have the RIGHT to force someone to insure us. Think of it as a product, just like a car or boat or casting rod. Companies can produce and sell insurance policies, or not. Their choice.

If you want to argue the legalities (or illegalities) of the new law, or the ethics of it, that makes sense and is a popular way to pass time. However, his saying that we have the Constitutional RIGHT to health insurance is just WRONG. SHAME ON YOU HARRY REID.
