When I was growing up I could pull up in just about any body's yard to park and tear out hunting or fishing the creeks. I use could go by places in the woods and recognize a white oak or hickory and remember a deer or squirrel I killed there. It makes me sick now. I have nothing against select cutting which is needed but man these Rock people are destroying our mountains. Someone in the State Leg. needs to get off their tails and do something quick. The places I grew up in are becoming memories and I'm ashamed of my generation for letting it happen.

I know what you mean. I see truck loads of it going thru cleveland over to Raburn co. GA all the time. they haul 2 to 3 loads a day over there from the cumberland platue (?) area.  All the rocks are going down toward Atlanta area and they sell it by the square. I talked to one of the truck drivers the other day and he said he was on his 18th load for the week. Not gonna be abything left if they don't do something.

yeah it is getting bad. Ben from Steepcreeks.com (Chattanooga whitewater kayaking site) has some info on Steepcreeks.com.
