Having trouble keeping my motor running.

I have a four stroke yamaha that runs perfect for about a 1/4 mile after its been primed, after that it wants to shut down. I can keep it running if I keep priming it. Any suggestions?

try a new bulb you might have a very very small hole in it

Check the fuel line and bulb. If you have been running ethanol gas I would just change the line and bulb out.

Any idea where I can get new gas line? I know that wal-mart has the bulb.

We get our gas lines at autozone,they have all sizes.

Pretty sure the gas lines don't matter auto or marine,I don't think

There's a check valve in the bulb that sometimes goes bad and so the bulb needs replacement.

If you can keep it going by pumping the bulb and there are no visible leaks, it is more than likely a fuel pump issue. Most are buildable. Just my .02

If you buy new fuel lines make sure they are alcohol rated, especially if you are burning ethanol gas. The ethanol in the gas will eat the rubber lining away from a standard or non-alcohol rated hose and cause debris to clog fuel filters. I just had all mine changed out and I added a fuel/water separator inline between the tank and the primer bulb, just for added protection.
