Friday night was interesting. Another group was fishing so we tried to blast off before it got confusing but it was no use. We ended up all going regardless. The weights were down for all but one angler as the results reflect.
18 boats fished.
First Place: Azel Burrows and Tony Rodgers. 21.68
Second Place: Kieth Ellis and Rodger Kendrick. 15.81
Third Place: Joe Gwinn and Chad Reeves. 13.94
Big Fish: Azel Burrows and Tony Rodgers. 9.24

Saturday night we had 19 boats. The wind was way more cooperative but the fish were a bit smaller.
First Place: Ron Willerson and Eric Cabrerra. 15.19
Second Place: Charlie and Jason Myers. 13.72
Third Place: Mike McClain and Chris Cancellor. 12.50
Big Fish: Bruce Day and Lebron Creed. 7.41

Enjoyed it...looking forward to the next one. However, it would be nice to find a way to manage the multiple tournies that blast-off and weigh-in at the same times.

Ya blast off was crazy Friday. There was one person with the other group who's name I won't mention that blasted off from the back of the pack and came very close to 2 or 3 boats idling out. Pretty stupid move

I'm interested in maybe fishing a few of these. A few of you guys may have seen me when you idled out. I was in the bass tracker and had my wife and kids with me and we were just out for a cruise. We were setting just out from the marina and my kids were waving at everyone that went by. What are the requirements to fish?

No requirements. This is an open dogfight format. There will be a classic in a couple months. All you need to do is fish 15 nights.

Unfortunately, I don't think enough other groups read this. There have been other groups that fish the same temp for whatever reason; but they blast off earlier and weigh in earlier or later than us. We weigh in every Friday night and Saturday night at 2 and others have taken over the scale table before we could get set up. We just have to work around each other.

Derek, really to be honest, I dont think he was fishing either tournament. I know who it was also and I almost would say it was just ab intentional disrespect kinda thing. He blew up on plane and buzzed through everyone with the intentions of getting everyone to blast off early. Not saying in correct but man it sure seemed that way. Why else would someone who without a doubt knew what time blast off was show up around the same time and fly through the crowd with 3 minutes till blast off. Kinda fishy if you ask me!!!!

Ya and considering there were 20 to 30 boats sitting there why not just idle past them first?

Sounds like he had a place he wanted to start and did not want any of you guys to get ahead of him. May have known just how close you were to blasting off and wanted to get ahead of you all. Jmax
