Here is the latest information we could find....(at 3:20 pm today)

From 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm in Ooltewah. 72% chance of thunderstorms. Wind speed will average 24 mph.

From 9:00 pm to 12:30 am in Ooltewah. 50% chance of thunderstorms. Wind speed average is 15 mph.

From 12:30 am to 2 am in Ooltewah. 30% chance of thunderstorms and a 50% chance of rain. Wind speed will gradually drop to 4 mph.

Fellow CFFers: This weather information is the latest off of a weather aviation site that I use for flying. I've found it to be pretty reliable over the years although no system is perfect and for those of you who choose to fish tonight I hope the actual conditions are much better than this forecast. My decision to not fish is primarily based upon the fact that I do this for fun and even without the high chance of thunderstorms it is almost guaranteed to be a rainy and very windy night until midnight if not later. Trying to fish soft plastics in 15 to 25 mph winds in the dark all the while getting rained on isn't my idea of fun. If it is for you then go for it. I've seen the post basically saying that to fish this one or not fish involves something about "nuts" --- well first of all I'm proud to say my wife don't have any for me to borrow and if yours does then well I'm sorry . Seriously to all who choose to fish this one please be safe, I'll say a prayer from the safety and comfort of my home that nobody gets hurt or tears anything up .

I don't have a dog in this race since I have to work this weekend but JMax you are right. I always laugh when someone questions manhood by what they choose not to do. I have fished in storms, had lightening strike a tree I was try to fish in front of. To me it is not a question of manhood but common sense or intelligence. I learned my lesson many many years ago. emoLaugh

Turned out to be a great night! Sprinkled for the first couple of hours and wind died down. Ended up seeing stars later on so glad I went.
