52 fisherman participated this evening. It was rather breezy and very comfortable, compared to recent weeks. They pulled the water pretty hard and the small fish bit quite well for us. I bet we boated close to 40 bass, but only one was a keeper. We fished the usual stuff, deephumps and drops with current. All fish caught came on t-rigs a CBs in 13-20ft. 9.5lbs won it and big fish was a little over 5. Congrats to the "jig junky" who placed in the $$$ with 7 something! Although we did not make any waves tonight, it was nice to not sweat for once this summer. Looking forward to the cooler days ahead!

RE: HBSP dog fight

A good but bad night! Luckily me and a buddy won with 9.76#. We were edged out of big fish by only a bit. Best was 4.90 with two solid keepers. All fish were caught on cb and carolina rigs. With three keepers the motor started overheating. Was able to limp back and make the wiegh in but will probably be boatless for a few days or longer due to long weekend and all.......

CONGRATS ' ON THE WIN PERCHJERKER. HOPE THE MOTOR IS FINE AND YOU CAN GET BACK ON THE WATER SOON. I SEEN APOST FROM "FISCHNROD" WHERE HE LET THE LAKE LEVEL DOWN THIS MORNING, SO MAYBE HE WILL INVITE YOU OUT TILL YOU GET RUNNING AGAIN.

RE: HBSP dog fight

I was just plum tickeled to place. We got 5th place with 7.22.

Caught a Drum about 3#s early and then things got quiet....real quiet.....til right at dark.
We caught 5 keepers and 2 short ones all on T-rigs in the last hour in 12-20ft.

It was a great night to be on the water....really enjoyed the breeze. I've missed it this summer!

Congrats to Perchjerker and Jig-Junky!

Churly, your pics are not working. I noticed this in your other thread, as well.

I'm not sure why my pics are not showing up on the post. FA, I smiled from the time we put the boat in until I fell asleep! I have fished my butt off this past week and am loving it! For those who cant pull up the pics: its a 13lb smallmouth...yeah right!-LOL!
