Just thought I would post these pics from the marina fire at HBSP early this morning. I live about 5 minutes away and have a couple of boats squeezed in a slip there. It wasn't on my dock but I feel really bad for the owner of the burned boat. I'm not sure what other boats were damaged but as you can tell from looking at the boat and dock roof it was a raging fire at one time. These pics were taken around 7:15am from the pier.

Derek...I saw that. I ran into three of them walking around with a park ranger. They were knocking dirt dauber nests out of electrical boxes and checking out all of the docks. The old wood docks are in really bad shape and are going to be replaced next fall and I believe the office and restaurant will be also from what I'm hearing. It's just a good thing the fire wasn't on one of the wood docks as the whole dock would have burned. I was charging my trolling motor battery on my fishin' boat and got a call at 6:30 am that a dock was on fire. My first thought was that somehow something shorted out somewhere and I've started a fire and burned up a bunch of boats along with mine. emoEek

Can anyone tell me exactly what row this is. I dont know the Row #s so thats not helpful to me. By brother has a boat on the second to last row as you go out. meaning not the row nearest the fuel pumps but the one back toward the restaurant from that. Ive seen pics with his truck in the parking lot and we know he spent the night there last night but we cant get him on the phone. Any help is appreciated.

It's the last row of big boats with poles on them from looking at the pics, the name of the boat was Bottomless i'm pretty sure.

It was Bottomless. I also just found out another boat burned up and several others were damaged from an explosion. I believe the burned boats are sitting over by the ramp right now. You couldn't get anywhere near that area because of fire trucks, etc. early this morning but I'm heading back over there in a few.

It's the second to last row - F Dock.

Just seems crazy that the day the fire/electrical inspectors are there a boat catches fire the next morning. We were fishing right there yesterday afternoon while they were doing their inspection. The park ranger didn't look too happy about it. lol

Inspectors should not be doing anything but inspecting.
