After the sack I saw J MAX post from the Thursday night tourn. I thought 15 lb. 3 Fish sack is awesome. I would like one like that Saturday night. Dreaming of course!!! Then Saturday night come. Caught 2 nice one off of crank bait early and thought it was gonna be a good night. After dark it got real slow and I begin to think maybe not. On Friday night we had 17 lbs by 11:00 and had a 6 lb fish die on us which just took the wind out our sails. I didn't want the other three to die so I dumped them and left at 1 to find out we would have won it and had big fish as well. Any way back to Saturday night. We hit a couple spots that usually reward you with a couple nice keepers which would have give us a good sack I hoped and nothing!!! We were dragging jigs that we had caught them on Friday and the fish wanted no part of it Saturday night. Hit another spot and still nothing. I told my wife I was changing up to a big worm and going to hit a spot we had hit earlier that I knew was holding fish. We pulled up and a couple cast later, Bam it was on!!! From 12:00 till 1:15 we culled 5 times and had our sack. The big fish started acting stressed so we decided to go look for some ice since we had went through 30 lbs. Found and couple fisherman close to the ramp (thanks so much for the help guys) and one had some ice and the other had some oxygen powder they kindly gave us and never thought twice about it. Ended up with a nice 8.74, for big fish a 6 lber and a 3 something for 17.71. We probably could have up graded the smallest one but I didn't want to loose another beautiful fish to stress so I was gonna do what I had to to keep him alive. Great tourn. With 18 boats. And a pretty good pay out for 1 st and big fish.
