So, sitting here in the hilarious line to load my boat. I know it isn't you guys, since everyone who has ever thought about fishing was on the water today. But, for the love of God, this ramp will handle 3 boats at a time, and that's if people have no clue...4 boats if people are decent drivers. Wat hung boats go 2 at a time is cool, but crap, I've been waiting 20 minutes, lol.

That is why me and James just beached the boat at the picnic tables for the weigh in. I did not want to have to wait in the freaking line. emoEek

That ramp will accommodate 3 boats with ease. We've loaded 3 boats there at night! We even had room to open doors and things like that. As long as someone doesn't leave the lights on. If one or two vehicles get crooked you limit the ramp to two lanes which is nutty.

It seems it's always like this wherever you go even when the ramp has painted lines. Which I have seen some ppl trailer backing skills kinda glad they wait lol

Or what about the guys with the pontoon boat.
They had trouble getting it started then atleast 5 folks screamed at them to drop the motor by that time it was to late they just let the motor run out of the water

The learning curve is definitly a little too long at the ramp for several people. Not really different than driving on the roads....some can and some cannot drive very good. Throw a cell phone and some alcohol in the mix and make for hours of FUN!

Need to get some lawn chairs,a cooler and video camera. Get a seat say Memorial Day and start taking videos for YouTube. Chester Frost would be a great spot to watch and record the fun.

Chickamauga marina ramp is a great place to set up and watch this time of year. Gets really entertaining on Saturdays and Sundays at about 11a.m.

I was at the dam last Wednesday evening and there was one truck and trailer pretty near the concrete wall sitting. A girl backs a pontoon trailer dead between him and the other side of the ramp. Here it is 9.30 on a weeknight and I'm like geez. That ramp fits 3 easy. I go to backing up, yell at both of em to turn their lights off and I slid in right between em, prolly just inches to spare but their trucks were plenty far enough so I went for it. I was thinkin boy I may have messed up halfway down the ramp, then brother calls me cursing me and I said just put the boat on the trailer, everything is fine. The man in the pontoon said "a little close" on his way out and by the truck door and he's lucky he didn't get a piece of my mind. Clowns, they need an ametuer boat ramp where all them have to go to til they learn what's goin on.

So how many of you offered to help the guys that were having trouble at the ramp

No joke we helped someone 2 weekends ago at chick marina. Dude had his wife parking their pontoon trailer (long trailer). She got hog tied and my buddy went to assist and she asked him to take over. He parked it for her. Saved someone's bass boat trailer fender....

Nothing like being the guy struggling as everyone watches intently as you struggle under the pressure at the bottom of the boat ramp! It sucks when you are new in the game or inexperienced and trust me we have all been there! But dang it is irritating that these more popular ramps don't have huge signs to remind folks to turn off those dang headlights on the ramp when backing down!! I'm putting that one on TWRA b/c it can't be that expensive.
