I just upgraded to an 8 on front of my boat. I will include the new cables and transducer from the new graph with the hds-5. Its been a great unit for me with no problems. No. It has lake insight. Which is the lake maps that come already programmed on the unit from lowrance

the maps are good on that insight also! Its not just some enhanced base maps. At least on the Chick!

I never filled out any warranty papers on it. They are probably still in the box. Lowrance always been good to me, I've never filled out a warranty

I have the hds-7 on the console of my boat. and have been thinking of putting a hds-5 on the front. there was one on ebay over the weekend for 580.00 new in the box. but I was hoping to find a used one, and save a little money.
