i have 2 questions.
1) recently my structure scan is blacking out more frequently here lately.. seems as if a small group of bait or a quick depth change will cause it to black out momentarily. which defeatst the purpose of having it.

2) my structure scan depth is off by about 3 feet from my sonar. i know how to adjust the sonar transducer but can not find out how to fix the structure scan to read the correct depth.

im starting to get very frustrated with the blacking out deal. while i know to mentally adjust the depth issue.. any help will be greatly appreciated..

What software version are you running? I think it was the 4.0 where there was a glitch with the depth on the LSS-1 being off that was supposed to be fixed with the revision 4.1. I stuck with 3.5 on both of my units and I'm not having any issues.

Try adjusting your contrast on the screen for the blacking out. Also toggle between the 455 and 800 mhz frequency on Structure Scan. If I am in water with a bottom depth less than 15 feet I use 800 khz. 455 will provide a sharper image unless you are in a area that has a soft bottom. Try to keep your boat speed between 3 and 5 mph when using SS, you will get better images and detail.

yeah i think i have the 4.0 version. i just downloaded 4.1 last night and havent put it on the graphs yet. i may do that this week and hopefully it fixes it. i wish i would have stuck with 3.5 also. that last update was garbage and it messed my sonar up too. i finally got the sonar dialed in a little better. thanks for the input.
