How much better is the 8 than the 7 is there 600 dollar difference between the two units I've decided to go w Lowrance so focusing on these two units thank u

Go with the 8. It has the quick buttons and the screen is much bigger. You will kick yourself if you get the 7 and you had the option and money to get the 8!

Whatever you can afford, I settled for 2 hds7's but 1 day I'll get a hds8 and have 2 hds7's up front since you can share 3 via ethernet, That might be overkill, since what I have now doesn't always catch fish, but its fun to watch em, lol.

Get the 8. Definately worth the money. Call BBG Marine 8885700916 and ask for Brian Levia. A friend of mine reffered him to me and he gave me a great deal.

Just ordered my 8 today with structure scan from Tom at Fish n Fun. Will be dropping the sled off on Monday to get it installed. Ill let ya know how it is. Just by watching HDS 8 tutorials on youtube I am so looking forward to it!
