I played around with unit last and took a couple of screenshots. With the latest 4.0 update you can split 3 screens and there is a new color pallete.

I have in past but not last night, It is a spot I've got marked and done real good during the day in postspawn but at night the fish seem to go shallow. If anyone wants to update their unit I can meet up and install it. I have power cord for my truck and can install it if anyone needs it.

is that interference on the 2-d sonar, it almost looks like the sensitivity is too high? How do you like the 4.0 software vs the 3.5, I am hearing it's causing the units to lock up and they are already working on a patch to fix it?

I havent had any problems except I had to put in fresh water mode cause it would not scan pass 60ft. My unit hasnt locked up at all and there is a little more clutter but you can turn the sensitivity down but it doesn't botherme. the sonar pic is from the trolling motor ducer and the stucture scan is reading fro the transom.

just got my hds 7 and i down loaded 4.0 on the sd card havent installed it yet it said all i have to do is put the card in and turn it on it will load itself is that true?

yep, it has an auto loader/installer. Power the unit off then insert the memory card and power the unit on. It will automatically recognize the update and install it. Just let it do it's thing.

Have you tried to download the file to your computer first and then copy it from your computer to the SD card?

I would wait on 4.1, which will be released next week. This is suppose to fix the sonar problems created by 4.0.

Did you get the boat back and is the motor working good? Was it mixing oil that caused the problem?????

Not yet, maybe next week. I was told lack of lubrication at WOT. Went fishing at 3 am this morning with trolling motor and caught a few bass but nothing to brag about. Not having a motor hasn't kept me from fishing, Im thinking about fishing tonight at Nickajack in the tristate tourny, and fish the river above and below Sulllivans with the old reliable Minn Kota emoLaugh..
