wrenchen2 just checking to see if you got jdk on the water had to grind the hole out bigger before welding looked like a sand hole from the casting but it wasn't very deep emoDance

We sure did!!! Rudy thank you so much that was very kind what you did to help us out.. Motor is running great very high compression.. b/c of the damage and having to mill the cylinder head and fix that air bubble we might still have to find another head. But for now its good and we are running thanks to your weld job. We just have to keep a watch on the compression. Thats a lot for a little OMC 70 hp... its going to be a great engine the speed and power was pretty tough.. Cat wait to finish the break in only 9 hours left
Wrenchin really busted his ass for me today.. It was so felt so good riding down the river in a new boat Thanks James

Rudy,
Thanks man!!!! Josh brought the head back to me and we milled it and it was good. I may have to take it off and open the chambers back up a little. It is running very compression. Engine is VERY STRONG. Can't thank you enough!!!!!!!!!!!!

That was a casting flaw. I bet I will never see another one like that. YOU THE MAN!!!!!

Rudy,
That is called a lost foam casting. They use styrofoam (spelling) to make the part then pack sand around it. They fill it up with aluminum and it destroys the foam. That was a air pocket in the aluminum. If you looked closly at it you could see the foam impressions and the "glue lines" where they glued pieces together. Thanks again!!!
