I checked all over the area of north GA and Chattanooga TN for the best price and good reputation in the fall of 2005. I had the Heat exchanger go out in my central heat and air and found out it was almost cheaper to buy a new unit than it was to replace that thing. I had been guoted a price of $750.00 from the people I normally used but I thought that sounded high so I started checking around. I must have called 10 places with good reputations and each one I told I needed a guote and I was going to take the best deal. They ranged from $350.00 the lowest, to $1200.00 the highest, WOW!!!!emoScratch I still do not see how one can do it soooo much cheaper than the other. The $350.00 was with Reliable Heating and Air, I check them out and they were a good rating. Used them and they got the job done very quickly and cleaned up the mess. Took my central unit completely apart replaced that thing and but it back togather.emoThumbsup Great work and it never has missed a beat since they did it. Jmax, thats for the response. It was a 60 amp breaker at the unit, one wire had burned at the lug, not making contact. I fixed it, saving a few bucks. I thought I would check it out 1 more time before calling that company, this time I got lucky.
