I arrived with my neighbors grandson Will at around 7:45 to see them in the action of Eric at the helm and 6 fingers pointing in opposing directions. I do understand their frustrations as I only found 2 quality threads after what seemed to be hundreds of casts. I finally gave up on the threads and went to the gizzard hole only to net about a dozen with the less than adequate water flow. We took what we could get and up the stairs, down the road to my favorite bankside shoal. Will started off immediately with nice 2lb largie and as I threw the Foley. I didn't expect to see any bass action with the lack of flow but there were a few there. I swapped up to a gizzard and landed a couple keepers also and before we knew it our bait was gone. I told Will to stay put and I would make the lonely bait haul alone and bring us something back since the flow had increased a tid bit. I went straight to the gizzard hole and one throw of the net I hit the school right in the mouth and had a net full of mostly gizzards but several quality threads in the mix. Back I go up the 1,231,688,345 stairs and rocks and walkways to my vehicle and down the road again with a slough of shad that were on their last breath as I made it to Willy who had just landed his personal best largie as I walked down the rocks. We dumped them in the bucket and began again and soon as Wills shad hit the sweet spot he hooked up with another PB but this time in was a hog smallie. Flow never did get right before we had to leave to get my rugrat but I did add a couple keeper largies to the cooler and one beinga solid 4+. All in all a great day and Will had an absolute blast and I am very proud to have gave him the chance to get his 2 PB's!!</p>

Your bait directions pretty much sucked. If Sam hadn't his patented sonar built into his cast net we wouldn't have had any bait at all.
