Well, I braved out the weather and fished a small Tx with my good buddy Jason Chase who works at Heat Tec.

Getting up early, we started off at Waffle House to fill our bellies first. Blast off was at 7 and man was it cold. The lake wasnt too bad but it got better! Started off at hales Bar and picked up several fish on a jerkbait. No keeprs...all 14 3/4. Headed up river and fished some blow downs..same thing.

Decided to go up about 6-7 miles and fished a few flats. Just as I was about to hit a bank with some TP..LOL..I threw out towards a log and BAM..what a hit! i thought at first it was a good Ol Cat or Drum so jason wasnt in a hurry to get the net..then she surfaced. I screamed at him to get the D$%^M NET NOW! Landed and put onthe sclaes...6.5! Talk about breaking my dry streak!

Headed on back towards the dam and road out some rough waters. jason was holding down the rods and somewhere, his tackle box flew out. ovr $100 worth was gone! i felt bad for him being that I was the one getting most of the fish..LOL. Not to worry though. He took it well and we went on.

Got around some of his favorite spots. Thought it would be a slow. Not too bad...we changed up to a shakeyhead jig with a brushhog and it was like every other cast. I had 2 good one come undone but we managed to get 3 more keepers in the boat.

David Powell and his wife got first with 12+

Next was (i don;t know the guys name, sorry) 10 pounds

3rd place, but no money, Myself and Jason.

Big Fish...US!

Great day with my buddy but a hard day on us physically. Anyone that went this morning has to be wore out tonight!
