EVERYONE:

A friend and I were camping WAY, WAY OUT and my friend just happened to see
something moving. It was 7 little puppies! They would have frozen that
night - it was so cold!!! I am still just raging that people do these kinds
of things. So, we brought them home, bathed and fed them. They seem to be
very healthy. Very young... between 4-6 weeks. They are eating dog food
though. I would say that are lab mixes. 3 look like yellow labs, there are
3 that are colored like german shepherds, and one is white with light brown
spots. They are adorable and seem to be handled quite a bit. I CANNOT keep
these for long. My roommate's mom (who owns the house) is upset that I
brought them home. I DO NOT want to take them to the Humane Society!!! I
worked there and know the behind-the-scenes. :(

DOES ANYONE WANT A PUPPY? If you can't take one...if you are able, COULD
YOU PLEASE SEND THIS TO YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY?

I HAVE PICS. EMAIL ME AT [email protected] if you want me to send them to you.

THANK YOU!
Starr

Starr it is a shame that folks do stuff like this. Instead of taking them to the Humane Society, you can contact various places like the East Ridge Pet Shelter that places puppies and kittens. In addition I'd get Luther involved by calling WDEF and letting people know you have them.

I disagree with not taking them to the Humaine Society. They try their very best to find homes for all that come to them. For a very low adoption fee, you get so much. Spay or nueter, which if you just give these to any willing folks, most WILL NOT get, and it starts this procces all over again. You also get a micr-chip implanted to aid in recovery if you ever lose your pet. Shots, and even a bag of food to get you started. And background information makes sure the pets go to good homes.

I am an ardent supporter of giving pets the best home or if need be a home in the sky is better than a bad home.

A bad pet owner doesnt deserve to breath the same air of a devoted companion. My .02

I agree w/ Spur...there ARE good places that will handle them appropriately and find them a good home.

I WISH I could handle another pet right now, cause they ARE pretty darn cute! But I have my hands full w/ 1 Lab and not enough time.

Best of luck, and fine job on the rescue!

Man after seeing these pics, these would go very quickly at the adoption center! We went down this past spring, and just coudln't resist, and took home TWO pups!....Makes four "best friends" at the house now.

Thanks for posting the pics for me TT. I agree with everyone the Humane Society thing. I wish that everyone would go down and adopt a pet and spay/neuter all pets. But I worked there. I have felt the heartbreak of seeing HUNDREDS UPON HUNDREDS of animals turned in. I am going to give everyone that adopts info about the low cost spay/neuter clinic Wally's Friends here in Chattanooga, so hopefully they will take them. Thanks for the input guys, much appreciated!

Take them to the nearest Wal-mart.Make a sign that says free pups and and hang out near the entrance to the parking lot.You will be surprised how fast they go.The last time I did this I gave away
9 in 3 hours. When they ask what kind they are say part lab,not mutt or sooner .

HEY THERE EVERYONE! Thanks for all the responses. The last puppy found a home on Sunday. They all went to great owners. I'm very appreciative to everyone that got the word out. Have a great week!
