I have a 2014 Mercury 175 pro xs that keeps shutting off after it runs for about a minute. I have a smartcraft meter and it's not showing any warning signs or beeping at all. I checked the whole fuel system down to checking the fuel filter. No water came out of the fuel filter so I'm lost. I just primed the system again and it is still shutting down after running idle for a minute. Anyone have any clues? Anything would be helpful

Yup, the primer bulb gets firm and stays firm. I tried it earlier and it will still shut off even if I'm pumping the bulb. The bulb and hose are also new.

Engine is also still under warranty and just has 61 hours. I called the shop and they said they are behind by weeks so it could be a month before I get it back. I can't stay away from the water that long emolaugh

My 2014 90 had similar issue. My 35 gallon in belly tank was moving causing the gas line to pinch off. It would crank and run idle for a short time but die immediately under laid as it need more fuel. It also causes the fuel pump to over work if there is a pinched line.

I am not sure how old you boat is, but if you have been running gas with ethanol in it, you may have a fuel line that has collapsed on the inside. This can cause your engine to not get enough fuel. You unhook one end of the fuel line and check to see if the inside of the hose is crumbling. Trust me I have seen fuel lines that look great on the outside and the inside of the hose has turned into a crumbled mess and it had what looked like a white goo in it.

Check fuel pressure and fuel lines may be the pump. The manufacture used tie straps on the fuel lines and if you are running ethanol it weakens the rubber fuel lines and on hot days the lines will swell and the tie straps cut off the fuel supply.

Bought a new 2016 Ranger last August with a 150 Pro XS. I hadn't even put 7hrs on the motor yet and the rubber diaphragm that covers the fuel valve inside the fuel rail had a hole worn in it. The motor would only start if I feathered the Hotfoot like a 72 Monte Carlo. Had the boat less that a week and had to have the fuel rail replaced. It happened again this past May on the other fuel rail. A nickel's worth of rubber will ruin your day!

your compressor may have went out, that's how they will do when it goes bad, did you hear a whisle sound right before it started this no running issue
