Looking at this boat.... been stored outside and has some issues.

Managed to free up the steering enough to use...b ut was looking at replacing the cables.

Does it look like I could flex these cables enough to remove without swinging the motor? Don't have an easy way to pull the 225 on there...... anybody?

Remove that cap and take the other end loose. Then pull it out first because you aren't going to want to try and fish those rods up through the boat.

No way around it, motor has to come off. Get a hoist, remove bolts, this way the motor can swing out some away from transom during the cabel swap, re-install. I have done this several times.... :(

Guys,

Thanks for the help. Being stubborn like I am, I will try it first without pulling the motor. Got it in the garage to try
