Just got an older lowrance fisk lo-k-ator flasher. Testing it out in the garage and holding the ducer just a few feet from floor. Flasher works, get a reading at 0, but do not get a correct depth reading. Turned both dials trying to adjust. Get numerous flashes at multiple depths. No isolated flash at 3 ft. Any ideas?

You won't get correct readings out of the water. Sound travels at a different speed in water than in air. Test it in the water and I think you will get good readings from the sound of it.

Thx for info. Played around with her today in the water (finder) could get fairly accurate depth readings but it took adjusting supp. and sens. knobs when changing locations. Never got any fish flashes. Not to bad for $30 bucks I guess
