With expanding land development and growing regulations restricting angler access, federally owned lands are more important than ever for recreational fishing opportunity.</p><p style="text-align: left; font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; color: #666666; font-size: 13px; font-weight: 200">In early 2013, Sen. Murkowski (R-AK) and Rep. Benishek (R-MI) introduced the Recreational Fishing and Hunting Heritage and Opportunities Act (S. 170, H.R. 1825) into both chambers of Congress.
