I fished the Chic some years ago when it was mostly Millfoil/Hydrilla for vegetation. And I fished it after it was sanatized by whatever means. And then fished it after the "ring around the Courthouse in Chattanooga" and the promise to revegetate somehow.
Our club has been fishing the Chic at least once a year since about `94 and other than a bunch of strange lookin` weeds of one kind or another, the most visible evidence of the revegetate effort is the planting of Cypress trees on the upper end. Since we always put in at Dayton for our TX and most don`t make the run to the extreme lower end of the lake, I was just wondering if they were planted on the lower end too. I rarely go below Sale Creek and have never heard anybody reference them in reports. I`m guessing they were planted on the upper end about 10-11 years ago and was noticing that the knees and what not were really starting to grow good . It looks to me like they will become a point of attraction to the fish before too long.
Just wondering if anybody else have begun to target them yet. It the one thing I`ve never heard mentioned here.

Yea they planted some in Harrison Bay ( around the islands) and a few coves in Harrison bay. They are all very small and barely growing. Not to mention where planted them, they are only in water when the water in in full pool.

They stayed really small up lake too for years but some are starting to get in 6-8 inch diameter and shooting out the knees too.
