Doc1...first off you have my respect,,,,, but the only thing different in an "AK" and a Remington 7400 is magazine cap (well...and accuracy/reliability) the AK looks meaner, but is functionally the same....under some definitions, a Remmy with a high cap clip would be considered an "assault weapon".

I guess you're right... if we take weapons away from law abiding citizens, apply a gun control law to prohibit the ownership of guns.... we'll all be safe. And, I'm assuming the law-abiding ex-convict that shot this family, and others like him, will line up like lemmings and throw their weapons into a smelting pot when Obama becomes leader of the world.

If the gun control folks have their way, you need to gain accuracy with a slingshot. forget multiple round clips.... we'll be looking for quick-load mechanisms for wrist rockets to shoot that dog or compete against those criminals who 'forgot' to line up like lemmings to deposit their weapons to the nearest authorities. That's really sad that the father of that 8 year old allowed him to shoot an Uzi... and was standing behind him to support him while shooting it emoScratch .... obviously, the kid wasn't able to handle this gun and that should have been recognized... I honestly hate that this happened, but when responsible gun owners allow things like this to happen, it just fuels the fires for folks to promote the taking away of weapons from law abiding citizens.

If there a felon they cant. I know a guy who cant even own or be around a muzzleloader. But thats his own fault.
