Started out by getting skunked for the first two hours...the bass were not where we left them last SaturdayemoScratch Don't you just love the unpredictability of the pre-spawn! After a week of warm days and fair nights, the water temp was only 53...just like last Saturday. I'm not sure whether the near freezing overnight temperature or some other factor, such as a front, moved them, but the bass pulled back to the main channel and suspended on breaklines from 9-12 feet. When we finally found them, it was nearly a bass on every cast if contact was made with any type of cover, such as rocks or brush. Most bass (all spots...no LM?) were caught on a Excalibur/Bomber Fat-Free Shad with a green back, however, the initial bite came from a C-Rigged Zoom Lil' Critter Craw used to locate structure. Didn't catch anything enormous, the heaviest went 2.7, but the quantity plus the simple delight of figuring them out made up for it.
