Has anyone had any luck in powell slough. Sat 9-22 listening to vols pre game and was alone in there, had a nice hit with a with a spinner bait. Not a keeper but fun. Stayed about an hour with not anymore strikes.
Felt like it might have potential, hoping someone else might have a tip for me. emoScratch

The first slough on left coming up river from hiwasee island.

have been in there fliping and throwing spiner bait have caught a keeper or two but thats about it.

It is a phenomenal spot in the prespawn and while they are bedding. However, I've done better this time of year by cranking the mouth. You can also fish the ditch that feeds Powell. It goes from the mouth and crosses the flat before eventually dumping into the main channel. It is usually only 4 to 6 feet deep on the flat but there are some decent submerged laydown near the channel.
