Hiwasse Lake 11/30/06 Bass

Met a buddy of mine in Murphy, NC this morning and he toted me to Hiwassee with him. Fishied uplake all day in the rain with water temps around 52* Found fish on steep rocky banks near the creek channels. Caught most on small jigs, shakey head worms, one hit a crankbait and one on a spinnerbait. Caught 11 total (8 spots/spot hybrids, 2 Smallies, and a perch). The spots and the perch made the trip back to TN with me. Here is the best spot, just a smidge under 3lbs.

Nice report and pic of that fat chunk you got there. It was 74 degrees around here today. What a differance a few miles and a few feet of elevation can make.

Way to go, Clint. I would love to have a limit of spots like that for the skillet. Yum, Yum. Hiwassie is a beautiful lake. I have only been on it one time and wasn't fishing that time. Family thing with picnic and jet skis.emoGeezer
