I went today and I was first person at the boat ramp.I started fishing all my favorite rattle trap spots and couldnt get a bite.I started to give up and start crappie fishing,but I remembered one more spot Ive found good schools of rattletrap fish. I got to the spot and on my second cast I caught a 1 1/2.I thought it may have been a fluke,but the action started.For about 20 min.I was wearing them out,with the best 5+lbs.I had lots of 2s and 3s.Finally I think what killed the bite was a boat came close to the area I was catching them and the action stop.I dont know maybe they just stopped bitting.I love this time of year when the water is down.Burnt orange Trap!!!!

Good deal, where did you launch from? Up or down river?

I put in at 58 Marina and mainly fished that area up river a couple of miles and down river a couple of miles.Fishing super shallow.
