Hiwassee 9/3 Bass

The day went pretty good,started in a major creek fishing boat docks and sea walls(can you have a sea wall on a river?) in 8-12ft of water and caught several shorts on a spook and shakey head with one pretty good keeper on the shakey head.Then we moved out to the main channel to fish a rock point with no luck and decided to move on down to a main river bank and fish some wood.Same results,several shorts and one REALLY nice keeper 3or 4 pounds on the shakey head(purple with gold flake trick worm)Water was 76-79 deg. more stained than last week with no current.Packed it in at about noon with pontoons and jet skis coming out in droves(what is a drove anyway)past tense of a drive?That doesn't make sense! emoScratch

MY FRIEND JEFFRO AND I PUT IN AT DAYTON AND HEADED TOWARDS HIWASSEE .WE STOPPED ON A FLAT AND JEFFRO CAUGHT A KEEPER AND TWO SHORTS ON A RICK CLUNN CRANK.WENT TO AGENCY AND DIDNT GET A BITE.FISHED A COUPLE FLATS ON THE RIVER AND CAUGHT ABOUT 6 MORE SHORTS ON A CR WORM AND A RATTLE TRAP.

Ranman, sounds like you escaped before the pleasure boater floodgates opened. Later in the evening there were 3 foot rollers and the river edges looked like a mud puddle.
