Put in a B&B marina yesterday evening hoping to get a big flathead. It turned out the blues were biting instead. Ended up with a 17, 20, & 30lb blues and one little flathead. I'm planning on putting in at the River Park tommorrow am to prepare for next weekend.

Great fish... at what depths and structure did you find the fish? I assume since you were going after yellows that you had live bait? Bream?

Good job!

Nice fish drc... and hey, you almost smiled. emoBigsmile Tellico00 told me today is the last day of the BOC Tourney. I hope that 30# (or whatever you caught today) gets you in the money.

I started the evening fishing a creek mouth with submerged wood/ stumps, I threw out 5 live gills in depths between 8 and 15ft. Fished that area for about 2 hours with only one small blue. We left and went up river to a bluff and cast back out, water was 23-31ft and 78 degrees with no noticable current. We caught the three biggest blues and the only flattie of the night there.

I did enter that fish, but it's not gonna make a differance. I think the leaders have a four fish limit that weigh around 125-130lbs. Only one other guy entered a fish on my team so we should finish up with 47lbs, not even close to getting a check, lol! It was fun anyways and I plan on entering the next one.

Nice catch drc! There are a bunch of heavy-hitters represented on CFF fishing (and not fishing) the Cat Battle next Sunday - This weekend's great cat reports sure have me looking forward to it!

Darrel great job on the Cats emoWorthy

I am also going to miss the CFF cat battle. I have been transfered to our Corp office and will have to leave next weekend at least as of now. I cannot wait for January in Illinois Burrrrrrrrrrr Such is life of a Corporate gypsy this will make the 10th move in 32 years with the same Company. I had hope of retiring here on this assignment.

I will check in from time to time just to see all the trophy cats Rsims is catching as well as DRC and the others that have been reporting nice cats. Anyone want to loan me an axe so I go ice fishing in December <grin>

Thank care

Mike

Mike... as I said Sunday, you'll be missed. I enjoyed getting to know you and I'm sorry you've got to go back North of the Mason-Dixon Line. But surely we'll keep in touch via the web and hopefully when retirement hits, you'll come back to see us in person (if not before). The backseat of my G3 will always be open (if I'm not booked emoBigsmile )
