You know that sinking feeling you get in your gut when you arrive at the ramp and see that you've got the entire place to yourself:(? Too make a short story even shorter, it was very cold, very windy, and the water temp has dropped all the way back down to 40freakin9. Managed a mere 8 spots in 4 hours...no apparent pattern, just fancasting a Lucky Craft LVR and a 1/4oz Booyah spinnerbait along ditches leading into spawning flats. Best bass went 3.8lbs and the smallest, which I nearly decapitated on the hookset, was a whopping 4". On the plus side, the water level appeared to be up by at least a foot...or maybe it was just the waves emoScratch

man, sounds like a rough day after driving that far and having this kind of weather. But at least ya got to go and enjoy the day. Thanks for the report and maybe the wind will let up for you next time. Where did you put in at?

A tough day fishing is still better than a day of HONEY DOOOS...spreading mulch and yard work all day.

We put in at the ramp just before the Hiwassee bridge on 58. I take my kids to Cleveland and they spend the day with their grandma while I fish with their grandpa. It was one of those days that you spend silently wondering if you should have stayed home and done something productive.
