hiwassi / chick crappie 4/8

got out on the river at daybreak this morn. to try to find a few crappie....not knowing what this cold weather and rising water had done to the fish....started out in 5 to 7 foot of water....second cast caught a keeper...then another..then the bite quit.....moved around searching and to my surprise ...got on some fish in shallow water....2 - 3 foot deep...we ended up with 22 keepers...all fish were caught on grubs (casting).....blue shad ..black/ blue chart. tail...water temp. early was 52 degrees.....57 when we left...no pics ..batteries were dead on camera

Good report,nice to see that some keepers are still there to be had.
