Got a call just after noon from the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office. While my 17 year old daughter and 13 year old son were home, someone used a crowbar to pry open our metal back door. The Sheriff Deputies that responded to my daughter's 911 call surmised that they thought no one was home because they had knocked on the door 15 minutes before the break in. Both my son and daughter saw him knocking but they open the door to no one.

My daughter was inthe shower and my son was in our bedroom. Both heard a racket. My daughter yelled for her brother because she thought he was the cause of the racket. When she got out of the bathroom, she saw that the back door was wide open. My son had locked the bedroom door. Once the POS realized that someone was home, he grabbed my daughter's new laptop (I just bought it for her birthday) and was gone. He was in the house for 10 seconds max. A neighbor watched them drive up and down the cul de sac 4-5 times before all this took place.

For my neighbors in Hunter Glen, Hunter Forest, Hamiton on Hunter, Hamilton on Hunter North, and Flagstone, be on the lookout for three African American males riding in a 90's, gray, Ford Taurus that was described as "beat up". The air conditioning in the car must have been broken because all the windows were rolled down.

A big thank you to the Hamilton County Sheriff's Department for their quick response.

Jerry, just glad that your kids are ok. Thanks for the alert also. Maybe they will kick in the WRONG DOOR! emoEnforce

I'm really glad your kids are okay. I'm in and out of that neighborhood all the time. If I so much as see a car like that, I will call authorities. If they come to my house while I'm around, I will call authorities and tell them to bring a mop....

Glad no one was hurt. If you ever decide to get an alarm give me a call. They usually will not hit a home with an alarm system. emoSorry Jmax

Im sorry to hear that Jerry, but I will point out that my neighbor had his car broken into between Wed. night at 9 pm till Thurs morning at 8am. He had a gun and a few other things taken out of the car. The Deputy that did the report in a good friend of mine and came up to talk to me. He said they have had several reports latley. Yall be careful, as far as for me and my family.....Lets just say Seal Team 6 would have a hard time getting to them!!!!!! Ok well maybe the boyscouts, anyway, Ill be ready!

Sorry to hear about this but very glad that your kids are okay, physically, and I hope they aren't too traumatized by the incident. It's a terrible feeling to have your home broken into.

glad your kids were ok!!! hope they try that at the wrong house and meet the business end of a shotgun.

Good night Jerry- that must have you and yours shaken! Thank God the kids are alright!
May be time for a little home defense training. Alarms are great, but in a face to face situation, they aren't likely to be fast enough.
Me personally- forget the laptop- I've seen your rod & reel collection!
Seriousely-they will hit the wrong house eventually and things will get BAD for them! The law or alarms scaring them off won't change their lifestyle.

I'm sick of this crap! I heard about Pointer's situation and then I talked to my cousin who lives in Grand Rapids, Mi and he was trapped in his house for hours because some idiot killed 7 people right down the road from him.
It's apparent some people are declaring war against the hard working people.
I hate a thief! But now they want to make it personal by scaring our families.
I just got done sand bagging in my .50 cal at the front door and hooking up the claymore to the 55gal drum of Fugas at the back door..

Ok...I'm off my soap box, but I am freaking pissed off about this!

Trip flares and claymores! Hell yeah! Oh and BTW.....daughter-in-laws car broken into last night at my house..Holly Hills...EB..gone one Tom-Tom. I told the County man....if I catch them in the act ...it won't be pretty...He said.....do what you have to do. I replied...thats my plan.

I just busted a dude breaking into a car up my street this week. I drove right by , could see the dude in the car ( all the light out), and he just froze when I drove by. I called 911 right away and described what i saw. They told me to go on. Got a call later in the morning form the Sheriffs office, and the guy thanked me . They caught him red handed. Damn loseres !!!
