Hook restrictions on a fishing lure?

Hi,

Some references to fishing rules on waters within IR seem to indicate "single hook" as well as "no barb." Easy enough to crimp the barb down, but are we supposed to remove 2 of the treble hooks on a lure? What about lures which originally have two treble hooks?

Please help.

I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.

Thanks!

A treble is a single hook, one shank to connect to the lure. The states I have lived in specify if trebles are not legal, but not as a single. Some trophy or mandatory catch -release are very specific on the hook.
