Hot Trim

I have driven a boat with that type of trim. Not my favorite way to trim a motor. If your boat will run at high speeds, I would go with the blinker style trim. It is much easier to control.

double that on blinker trim. would not think of having a boat without it.

I have enough problem with hand/eye coordination, I don't want to even think about adding a foot to the equation. Blinker is my favorite because it's always in the same spot and could be easy to install on your boat, not sure. The buttons on the steering wheel would be my second choice but sometimes they're not where your hands and fingers are. Are parts available to fix yours? Your post makes me believe, you don't have a hot foot and if that's true, you will have better success with trim and throttle controlled by one hand. BulletTJ mentioned your boat speed and that is a really important point. If you feel your reaction time is much faster than your boat speed, almost any form of tilt control will be fine.

I would have to agree! That trim is pain tolearn. The blinker is a lot easierto master and is a lot safer. My .02</p>

I`ve had the 2-button trim mounted on the spoke of the steering wheel before and really prefered it to the blinker style . You can work the button while steering with both hands. I had hydraulic steering installed and also installed the blinker style trim which is a cleaner, neater install with the new steering wheel required for the new sytem. I like the blinker all right but I really think the 2-button is easier to work when having to maneuver the wheel in a hurry situation. I`m guessing ( can`t remember exact cost....I`m old) the 2- button is considerably cheaper and easier install than the blinker.
