any one catching good crappie in this hot time of summer if so how deep and what times if you dont mind telling your trade secrets thanks guys

I only fish crappie in the winter but if I can remember from some post from the last couple years, maybe look for some deeper brush piles and they should be suspending around them. Possibly some deep roadbeds too. Good luck!

Under the bridge wolf river on full moon with clouds and lights in the water. Starfire 2 is what I use but tonight and tomorrow might be the best bet

saw a guy at chester frost fishing jigs at the end of the pier catching a bunch of really good sized ones

The crappie are catchable on main lake bluffs, in eddies in the 12-15 foot range early and late and in 35-45 foot range if the bait is running that deep. You can also contact them from time to time on roadbeds in the 15-20 foot range but one day they will be there, the next not. Using BG shads on 1/32 oz jigs if they are in the shallower ranges but 1/16 to 1/8 oz jigs if they are deep. One day they were really active in the 35-45 foot range and if I had kept them I would have had to fizz them as their air bladders were distended from coming up from so deep.
