We inherited a john boat due to the passing of my son in law. It used to be mine, I know about everything about it but where the dang keys are. It has a Bombardier control box that Bob at sportsman marine fitted to a Johnson motor, kill switch and everything. As soon as we figure a way around this it's going up for sale( 16 ft Lowes,49 hp Johnson w/trim, console steering) Any help would be appreciated.

You can have a key made for the switch and you want have to hot wire it and the new owner will be happy to have a key.You can add the price of the key to the sell price of the boat to get your money back.

I lost my key one time at Weiss lake and I took my boat to JR's Marine and they had a ring of OMC keys. Once they found the one that fit we went back inside and he replaced my key and I bought a spare too. So I would take your boat by an OMC dealer and they should be able to do that.

As said before most dealerships have a ring of keys that they will try until they find it then make you one off it

problem real easy to fix we have a full set of master keys just give us a call we can tell you were to find the key number on your switch 423-875-3882
