Tomorrow's high temperature 94 degrees

I know! Is that not crazy! emoCrazy I am glad I have a tournament tomorrow so I am not tempted to deer hunt. If you down one better get it on ice quickly, it may spoil fast. emoVomit Jmax

First time I have ever missed opening day ever it's just to hot so I'm with jim I'm fishing the cff this wkend. I can't ever remember it being this hot at the end of September.Good luck to everyone that hits the woods

I'm going because I'm alive and physically able to, and off work. I plan to only hunt mornings and last two hours of daylight so the temps will never be over 82 while in the stand. Gonna focus on very good clean shots only to avoid long tracks. Most of the largest bucks on record are taken in the first days/couple weeks of archery. Some of the most brutal fights between bucks can occur as soon as velvet is shed. Good luck fishing!

Very hot yesterday! Went yesterday evening with no success, got plenty of mosquito bites and sweated like crazy. Still was glad to see the season opener. This is my second season bow hunting still looking for my first archery kill. Good luck in the woods and on the water everyone.

went yesterday and this morning and I didn't see anything but my nephew heard me comeing down, so he let his bow down with the rope and was about to climb down and a big doe walked up and layed down about 15 yards away from him. that smart butt doe let him get his bow pulled back up - a arrow in and started pulling back and before he could shoot , she hit the brush and was gone that quick. He swore she was laughing at him as she went out of sight.

I hunted this weekend as well. It was the hottest TN opener I ever witnessed. But hunting early season in KY (it opens the first Saturday in sept.) has me used to this warmth. The key is to walk in slow, wear very light clothing, and use a thermacell. I saw deer on every sit. The most surprising thing was how early the deer were moving in the evenings. Both Saturday and Sunday I had deer in the plot by 6pm. But what took the cake was watching a 6 pointer pushing a doe around. No shots fired, but really enjoyed getting in the trees.

Went to the VOLS games Saturday first opener while at home I've missed! Probably won't go until tomorrow morning!! I have had does and little ones in my back yard about every evening!!Not going to hunt it until time for mr big if he's still alive!! Hahahaha!!
