Haven’t been out in a few weeks and not seeing a lot of reports on here. I was whacking em pretty good thru June and early July with plastics and some topwater . Seems liked they were starting to school as well. Anyone willing to give a little update on how the lake has been fishing recently? Hoping to get out this weekend. Thanks

Been slow for me. The bite I was on earlier in the summer is gone. I fished 2 days this past weekend. Both days were slow for us. Saturday we fished from 7am to noon and only caught 5 bass, biggest 3.5 pounds and only 1 other keeper. Then on Sunday Dad and I fished from 7 until about 3 and caught 8 bass, biggest was 3+ pounds. Managed 3 that were 15" or better but NO size. Mostly threw a shaky to try for numbers. Also threw big crank bait some, and did some early morning topwater.

Its all over the place, One day we catch them deep and one day flipping shallow cover and one day grass. You just have to adapt to the conditions for what you are doing each day. Our best one last night was a tad over 6 and on the last cast!

Been absolutely terrible for me. Last 3 trips with a skunk. Not sure what the funk is.

It’s September . One of the tougher months on the lake . Days are getting shorter but the water isn’t cooling off yet . Kind of the beginning of fall transition so the bass will be on the move a lot . Grass will probably be the easiest place to locate em .

I’ve had several good trips and a couple skunks during August. Found fish in grass and on drops but sometimes they just wouldn’t bite. Picked up one 7+ bass and averaged 5 or 6 fish each trip. The grass mats are shaping up so the frog bite should be coming soon. Good luck!

I had a surprisingly solid August but last weekend the breaks came on and got tough

If you had to give a % of confidence in grass mats forming good south of 60 bridge this late September into October, what would it be? I know last year when we came down in mid October we couldn’t find anything good south of the bridge and so we stayed north. Hoping for a grass mat come-back this year for when we come back lol.

The grass north of 60 is nothing like it was last year, guess due to the rain we have been getting and lake fluctuating. I have not been below bridge. There are mats up there just not like last year. The one in front of Armstrong ferry boat ramp is 1/3 the size it was last year.
